full description
The site is a cleared area of circa 0.2 acres approximately which was formerly utilised as the Conservative Club.
Pre-Planning enquires have been made to Rhondda Cynon Taff Council regarding the development of a three storey building for flats. In their response the case officer states that the principle of developing a three storey apartment may be acceptable as the site is within the defined settlement limits of Tonypandy, and as there is already a four storey flat complex to the rear of the site.
RCT Council have stated that the apartment building would need to be of a high design standard and appropriately scaled for the location.
The parking and landscaping on the site would need to comply with policies AW5 (New Development) and AW6 (Design and Place Making) of the RCT Local Development Plan. The scheme as a whole would also be assessed against AW2 (Sustainable Locations) of the LDP.
Directions

The site is located amongst residential properties. There is a mix of styles of residential properties. Furthermore, at the end of Berw Road there are a few commercial properties.
