Herbert R Thomas appoint two new recruits
Herbert R Thomas has announced the appointment of two new recruits following the opening of its office in Bridgend.
Herbert R Thomas (HRT), which has offices in Cowbridge, Neath, and now Bridgend, has appointed David Waterman as residential manager and Rachel Howells as personal assistant to the firm’s property partners.
Mr Waterman, from Bridgend, has over 13 years of experience in the property market having worked as an estate agent, property valuer, sales negotiator and residential sales manager. He was also the youngest person in Wales to become a fully qualified estate agent at 16 years old.
In his previous company, Mr Waterman was responsible for growing the business by developing new sales leads. He will now be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Bridgend office and generating property sales by gaining new instructions.
Rachel Howells, from Maesteg, joins the team having completed a degree in business management and gaining work experience in HR and administration sectors. In her new position, Miss Howells will be writing property profiles, assisting with marketing and advertising, as well as supporting the firm’s partners.
On joining HRT, Mr Waterman said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the HRT team. I have always admired the company’s success and the team’s commitment to going above and beyond for their clients. With the firm’s strong reputation, I believe we have the ability to make Bridgend a huge success by demonstrating our professionalism, integrity and high standards to the public. I’m looking forward to using my property experience and knowledge from living in Bridgend to help develop the company and continue to build on its success.”
Miss Howells added: “I have always been aware of HRT due to my agricultural background and the fact that the company specialises in so many different property sectors is something that really attracted me to the position. The team is extremely knowledgeable and I’m looking forward to developing my skills and experience.”
Gavin Rees, partner at HRT, said: “David and Rachel join us at a very important time having just opened our Bridgend office. David has a vast amount of experience and knowledge of the Bridgend market and will be able to help us grow the business in the area. Rachel has already proven how invaluable her organisation and administration skills are and we know both David and Rachel will be great assets to the company.
“Our new state-of-the-art office is in a great location in the heart of the town centre allowing us to service the increased demand for our property services from our Bridgend clients. We’re looking forward to an exciting future and we know that David and Rachel will both play an instrumental role in helping us achieve this success.”
